Step Info Layouts: Basic

This is the simplest Step information layout type. The Basic layout type consists of a Step title, the Step main text and a background image. A variant is available that adds a decorative accent image. Note that the background and accent images do not provide an assistive description text field in the Path editor, as these elements are intended to be used as non-vital decoration only (not necessary for learning or narrative comprehension).

New Steps added to a Path default to Basic Step information layout. To to swap from another Step Info layout to Basic, select the appropriate step. Navigate to the Info & Scenario tab. Under Choose Info Section Layout.



Select the Basic layout set from the Choose Layout Set menu.



After switching to the Basic layout set, by default, the Basic variant of the Basic layout will be selected.



Next, if an accent image is desired, select the Basic + Accent variant. Click Apply.
